Activist Post: DoD Blocks Millions of Computers From Viewing Alternative News

After the initial surge of web traffic to alternative news websites following The Guardian breaking the NSA spying story, traffic has slowed considerably despite the continued interest in the NSA story as well as other alternative headlines.

This dramatic drop in traffic may be due to broad censorship by the Department of Defense on "millions of computers".

What began as a rumor that the military brass was ordering soldiers not to view news about the whistleblower revelations that the NSA is spying on all Americans has swelled into a confirmed military-wide censorship campaign using a high-tech computer filtering system.

The US News and World Report is reporting that the DoD is blocking access to all articles related to the NSA scandal from all DoD computers. The filter reportedly effects millions of computers and potentially thousands of alternative news and civil liberties websites.

According to U.S. News:
The Department of Defense is blocking online access to news reports about classified National Security Agency documents made public by Edward Snowden. The blackout affects all of the department's computers and is part of a department-wide directive.
"Any website that runs information that the Department of Defense still considers classified" is affected, Pentagon spokesman Lt. Col. Damien Pickart told U.S. News in a phone interview.
According to Pickart, news websites that re-report information first published by The Guardian or other primary sources are also affected
"If that particular website runs an article that our filters determine has classified information... the particular content on that website will remain inaccessible," he said.
Pickart said the blackout affects "millions" of computers on "all Department of Defense networks and systems."
This is perhaps one of the most shocking displays of blatant censorship in the history of the United States. The idea that classified information should still be treated as "off limits" to regular military personnel after its broad release to the public makes no sense.

Unless, of course, they don't want soldiers learning the truth about what their government is doing for fear that they may recognize who the true enemies of the Constitution are.

Or this may simply be a beta test of the government's technical capability to filter Internet traffic away from certain news stories and the websites that carry them.

In either case, this should be a HUGE story in itself.  Draconian Internet censorship has finally arrived in a big way.

Activist Post: Foreign Boots on American Soil: Russia To Share Military “Security Experts” With U.S. During Emergencies

Rumors have circulated for years about the possibility of foreign troops being deployed on U.S. soil in the event of a widespread declaration of a national emergency. For quite some time there have been anecdotal reports to support the claim that the U.N., Russia and other nations would be used in a policing capacity should some critical event befall our nation.

The fear should such a scenario take place has been that these soldiers would act under the banner of their own flags, ignoring the fundamental protections afforded to our citizens, leaving Americans under the jurisdiction of people who don’t speak our language or respect our fundamental rights to self defense, to be secure in our homes, and to be presumed innocent in the eyes of the law.

Up until this point, nothing has ever been confirmed in writing, so officially no such foreign assistance has ever been agreed to. Thus, Americans had nothing to worry about.

All of this changed last week when representatives of Presidents Barrack Obama and Vladimir Putin met in Washington D.C., and not a single US-based news source reported it.

A press release posted on The Ministry of the Russian Federation for Civil Defense and Emergencies reports that the United States and Russia will now cooperate in disaster response operations that will include the exchange of “experts” during “joint rescue operations,” a term that has been broadly defined under the new agreement.

This includes rescuers, trainers and even military “security” teams:
Several documents signed during joint work of Russian Emergency Ministry and FEMA
The Russian Emergency Situations Ministry and the USA Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) are going to exchange experts during joint rescue operations in major disasters. This is provided by a protocol of the fourth meeting of the U.S.-Russia Bilateral Presidential Commission Working Group on Emergency Situations and seventeenth meeting of Joint U.S.-Russia Cooperation Committee on Emergency Situations, which took place in Washington on 25 June.
The document provides for expert cooperation in disaster response operations and to study the latest practices.
In addition, the parties approved of U.S.-Russian cooperation in this field in 2013-2014, which envisages exchange of experience including in monitoring and forecasting emergency situations, training of rescuers, development of mine-rescuing and provision of security at mass events.
At the end of the meeting the parties expressed their satisfaction with the level of cooperation between the Russian Federation and the United States in the area of emergency prevention and response and agreed to develop it in order to respond efficiently to all kinds of disasters.

The President of the Unites States has just authorized the U.S. Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) to deploy foreign troops on U.S. soil during a mass event that encompasses any number of disaster scenarios, including but not limited to declarations of martial law.

Should our country come under threat, something the Pentagon and US military have been simulating for years, we can now fully expect soldiers speaking broken English forcing their way through our front doors in similar fashion to what we saw in the wake of the Boston bombings.

How The NSA Collects Your Internet Data In Four Charts | Zero Hedge
When it blew the lid open on the NSA domestic spying scandal in conjunction with the Guardian, the Washington Post released the first batch of slides revealing the preliminary details of which Internet firms cooperate in secret with the NSA, unleashing a firestorm of lies and denials by these same private companies (not to mention the administration), whose collaboration with the US government was subsequently revealed to be of symbiotically and mutually beneficial (think massive government contracts and classified data kickbacks in exchange for confidential customer data).
Last night, WaPo released the latest batch of slides given to it by Edward Snowden who appears to have been very busy downloading as much internal NSA info as he could, during his three months at Booz. This time we learn all about the PRISM "tasking" process - or the detail of how the NSA goes about "incidentally" spying on America's citizens (because as much as it is a headline grabber, the NSA spying on the EU, the G-20, and other non-US entities, is after all its job).
From the WaPo:
Acquiring data from a new target
This slide describes what happens when an NSA analyst "tasks" the PRISM system for information about a new surveillance target. The request to add a new target is passed automatically to a supervisor who reviews the "selectors," or search terms. The supervisor must endorse the analyst's "reasonable belief," defined as 51 percent confidence, that the specified target is a foreign national who is overseas at the time of collection.

Analyzing information collected from private companies
After communications information is acquired, the data are processed and analyzed by specialized systems that handle voice, text, video and "digital network information" that includes the locations and unique device signatures of targets.

Each target is assigned a case notation
The PRISM case notation format reflects the availability, confirmed by The Post's reporting, of real-time surveillance as well as stored content.

Searching the PRISM database
On April 5, according to this slide, there were 117,675 active surveillance targets in PRISM's counterterrorism database. The slide does not show how many other Internet users, and among them how many Americans, have their communications collected "incidentally" during surveillance of those targets.

Fox News Reporting on Chem Trails ...ALL of trees are falling ill not a...

More and more news coverage to follow in the coming months as the Bankster UN and their puppet governments try to force geoengineering into regulation and into the open. The clock is racing by as here in France all trees and plants now have deformed leaves and are falling in June. Leaves are bubbling and changing colour from potatoes, salads, nettles, brambles to walnuts, oaks, conifers, chestnuts, maples, figs, grape vines etc.... these trees should be vibrant and healthy as June comes to an end. I urge everyone to start looking closely at the plants they are the chemtrail canary.... the signs are everywhere.... NO SUN and massive amounts of nanoparticles of aluminium is changing the soils.... easy low cost PH checks can quickly establish the hard facts. Report from Iron Mountain is one report that puts things into perspective. Also weather warfare has been pursued as vigorously and as secretively as the Nuclear bomb was, stated by JFK in 1961 Sept 25 addressing the UN assembly to control the weather . Monsanto and other biotech companies already have many alu resistent GMO seed lines to synthetically replace nature as the poisoning continues in denial. Alu is abundant in safe locked form in soils..thousands of years of agriculture did fine without GMO's Monsanto even are preparing GMO bees to try and combat the loss do to the effects of HAARP, they try to mask blame on their toxic pesticides....which of course DO have accumulative dangerous effects ...ask the lab if river water or rain water is safe to drink...? Here in France all old houses had a well or a citern... a rain water tank. Not safe now...? Spraying chemicals on the land and in the air is madness for profit and control. The oligarchs despise the masses ( US) and want to cull the human race.... too draconian to believe.... men's sperm count already plummeted 33% in just 16 years...Cancer rates soared from 1 in 10 in the 1970's to 1 in 2 today. So many disease have exponentially increased in recent years... still think it is normal???? There is a slow kill going on funded by the obscenely rich... using the institutions they have installed over hundreds of years...one world government exists and if a nation does not play along...they get economic warfare and then an engineered war until assimilated...the masses still oblivious to the truth. Chemtrails are real.

Stun grenades, rubber bullets fired at Obama protest in S. Africa

Stun grenades, rubber bullets fired at Obama protest in S. Africa : The Voice of Russia:

South African riot police on Saturday fired stun grenades and rubber bullets to disperse hundreds of people in the township of Soweto protesting against US President Barack Obama's visit, police said.

Demonstrators burned US flags and portraits of Obama, who is on a three-nation tour of Africa, chanting: "Arrest Obama, not us" and "Whose country is this?"
Several bangs were heard as armed police tried to move the demonstrators away from a campus of the University of Johannesburg where Obama later addressed a town hall event.
The protesters had permission to stage a rally but over-stayed their allocated time.
"Police asked them to disperse, but they did not," police spokeswoman Sally de Beer told AFP. "So police used stun grenades and two rounds of reduced rubber (rubber bullets)."
A witness said at least two people suffered rubber bullet wounds, but police denied the claim. No arrests were made.
Police had to hold back some people as Obama's convoy drove into the campus.Members of the South African Communist Party and anti-Israel groups held up posters depicting Obama with a moustache like that of Nazi leader Adolf Hitler.
"The message is clear. We want him to honour the promises he made when he became president, including things like the closing of Guantanamo Bay," 30-year-old protester Firoz Osman told AFP.
The university hosted a meeting between Obama and young leaders from all over Africa, as part of his message that it is time for a new generation to guide the continent into an era of democracy and prosperity.
Soweto is a sprawling township where riots sparked a nationwide struggle against the former racist apartheid regime.

Protesters supporting American whistleblower Edward Snowden confront police outside the U.S. Consulate in Hong Kong on June 13.

Americans are planning to hold nationwide demonstrations in more than one hundred cities to protest against the government’s surveillance programs recently leaked by a former contractor at the National Security Agency (NSA).

A group named “Restore the Fourth” is organizing the protest and has called on all U.S. citizens to take to the streets on July 4 to express opposition to the government’s "unconstitutional surveillance," and demand an end to all spying programs that violate the Fourth Amendment, The Huffington Post reported.

Ben Doernberg a co-organizer of the protest action in New York City told The Huffpost Live that their group was in motion even before the leaks by Edward Snowden, but added that there are more worries now over the growing trend of violating civil liberties.

Doernberg said Stop Watching Us coalition, comprised of many advocacy groups with hundreds of thousands of supporters, would joint their action.

In a letter to the director of national intelligence, James Clapper, a group of 26 senators demanded more transparency on the scope of the government’s surveillance programs. They accused the Obama administration of using a “secret body of law” to justify the activities.

Snowden recently revealed that the NSA collects massive amounts of data on millions of American citizens and foreign nationals through phones and the Internet. He is on the run and is wanted in the U.S. on espionage charges.

The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) has filed a federal lawsuit charging that the NSA’s bulk collection of American’s data violates their constitutional rights of free speech and privacy.

In the latest revelation about the U.S. surveillance programs, German magazine Der Spiegel said its journalists had seen a September 2010 top secret NSA document Snowden has taken with him, showing that the U.S bugged European Union offices and gained access to EU internal computer networks.

The White House has defended the NSA’s surveillance programs, saying the data they collect are helpful in averting terrorist activities.

Supreme Court Bombshell: No Right to Remain Silent

Supreme Court Bombshell: No Right to Remain Silent
The Supreme Court handed down a decision on June 17 that has been ignored by most media outlets, despite its devastating effect on one of the most fundamental rights protected by the Constitution.
In a 5-4 ruling, the justices ruled that a person no longer has the right to remain silent as guaranteed by the Fifth Amendment. In relevant part, the Fifth Amendment mandates that no one “shall be compelled in any criminal case to be a witness against himself.”
Thanks to the Supreme Court’s decision in Salinas v. Texas, that part of the Bill of Rights has been excised — and has joined the list of so many other fundamental liberties that now lie on the scrap heap of history.
Here’s a little background of the circumstances of the Salinas case, as told by Slate:
Two brothers were shot at home in Houston. There were no witnesses — only shotgun shell casings left at the scene. Genovevo Salinas had been at a party at that house the night before the shooting, and police invited him down to the station, where they talked for an hour. They did not arrest him or read him his Miranda warnings. Salinas agreed to give the police his shotgun for testing. Then the cops asked whether the gun would match the shells from the scene of the murder. According to the police, Salinas stopped talking, shuffled his feet, bit his lip, and started to tighten up.
At trial, Salinas did not testify, but prosecutors described his reportedly uncomfortable reaction to the question about his shotgun. Salinas argued this violated his Fifth Amendment rights: He had remained silent, and the Supreme Court had previously made clear that prosecutors can’t bring up a defendant’s refusal to answer the state’s questions. This time around, however, Justice Samuel Alito blithely responded that Salinas was “free to leave” and did not assert his right to remain silent. He was silent. But somehow, without a lawyer, and without being told his rights, he should have affirmatively “invoked” his right to not answer questions. Two other justices signed on to Alito’s opinion. Justice Clarence Thomas and Justice Antonin Scalia joined the judgment, but for a different reason; they think Salinas had no rights at all to invoke before his arrest (they also object to Miranda itself). The upshot is another terrible Roberts Court ruling on confessions. In 2010 the court held that a suspect did not sufficiently invoke the right to remain silent when he stubbornly refused to talk, after receiving his Miranda warnings, during two hours of questioning.
Consider the ripple effect of the Salinas decision. Specifically, imagine how this ruling will alter the entire landscape of rights — including Miranda — and how they are applied (or not applied) to those accused of serious crimes. Here’s one potential application singled out by the Atlantic:
You know what's a much more recent wrinkle to the potential precedent effect of today's ruling? A case like that of the younger Boston Marathon suspect, Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, who reportedly sat through 16 hours of questioning before he was read his Miranda rights. Had Tsarnaev, who was recovering from serious injuries at the time, remained silent during questioning without explicitly invoking his Fifth Amendment, prosecutors could, under the Salinas ruling, now use that silence to their advantage.
Guilty or not, suspects in the United States no longer have the right to remain silent. If they remain silent, moreover, that silence will now be interpreted as guilt and will indeed — despite what you see on television court and cop dramas — be used against that person in a court of law. Even, in fact, the highest court in the land.
Another terrifying twist to the Salinas decision is that it imposes on a suspect the necessity of invoking specific language before law enforcement will honor the basic civil liberties of a person who is (or historically, was) innocent until proven guilty.
Justice Breyer recognized how this novel necessity places a nearly insuperable barrier to invoking one’s right to remain silent. Writing for the dissent, Justice Breyer asked, “How can an individual who is not a lawyer know that these particular words [“I expressly invoke the privilege against self incrimination”] are legally magic?”
Breyer goes on to propose a “far better” way to protect a person’s right to not incriminate himself.
Can one fairly infer from an individual’s silence and surrounding circumstances an exercise of the Fifth Amendment’s privilege? The need for simplicity, the constitutional importance of applying the Fifth Amendment to those who seek its protections, and this Court’s case law all suggest that this is the right question to ask here. And the answer to that question in the circumstances of today’s case is clearly: yes.
In the black-is-white-up-is-down world that we live in, it is no longer surprising to see constitutionally protected liberties being championed by the “liberal” bloc of justices, while the so-called “conservatives” chisel away at the bedrock of freedom.
Our Founding Fathers understood how vital the right against self-incrimination was to the pursuit of justice. Consider the following defense of that right offered by imminent Founding Era jurist Joseph Story:

A convicted paedophile priest has claimed a gay prostitution ring has been operating within the Holy Roman Church, with clergymen hiring underage rent-boys for sex.
Don Patrizio Poggi, who served a five-year prison sentence for abusing teenage boys at his Rome parish, also told Italian authorities a former Carabinieri police officer recruited boys for nine clergymen, IBTimes reports.
Poggi told the police: “I decided to file this complaint and cooperate with the law after long reflection and after a painful history of abuse and misuse of power that I have overcome thanks to the faith that guides me.”
The 46-year-old, who has complained that the Vatican refused to reinstate him after he completed his prison sentence, added: “I feel obliged to protect the Holy Church and the Christian community since I am aware of grave facts that undermine their integrity and break canon and penal law.”
Poggi has reportedly handed the names of 20 alleged child abusers in the Roman clergy – including four serving priests and a Monsignor - to the authorities.

So far, four people have formally been placed under investigation by Rome magistrates,The Times reports.
The newspaper adds: "His allegations gained some credibility from the fact he was accompanied by Monsignor Luca Lorusso, an adviser to the Papal Nuncio to Italy, who is himself a confidante of Pope Francis"."
The former police officer is alleged to have procured mostly eastern European immigrant boys from gay discos, saunas and outside a bar near Rome's central rail station known as “Twink”, where he used a vehicle marked “Emergency Blood” to avoid parking fines.
Poggi accuses the same man of “selling consecrated hosts for satanic rites.”
The allegations are rejected by the Vatican, CathNewsUSA reports.
Cardinal Agostino Vallini, head of the Catholic Vicariate of Rome said Poggi’s claims were made from a desire for vengeance.
He said: “The cardinal expresses his full confidence in the magistracy and declares himself fully convinced that this slander will be demolished, demonstrating Poggi’s claims to be untrue.
“God will hold everyone accountable for their deeds.”

Gen-Futter: Können aus Menschen Schweine werden? | DEUTSCHE WIRTSCHAFTS NACHRICHTEN

After Nestlé, Aptamil producer Danone is now hit by breast milk scandal

The multi-national food giant Danone has been accused of misleading mothers with a marketing campaign that warned they might not be providing enough breast milk to their babies. The company suggested mothers use its powdered baby milk to make up any shortfall.
An investigation by the Bureau of Investigative Journalism for The Independent found that Danone has been marketing its formula milk product Aptamil in Turkey by suggesting mothers with six-month old babies might not be providing enough of their own milk to meet their children’s needs. The episode has echoes of the baby milk controversies of the 1970s, which led to the international boycott of Nestlé, and illustrates the importance of emerging markets to Western multinationals. The campaign boosted infant formula sales in Turkey by at least 15 per cent and may have led to mothers moving their infants on to formula unnecessarily.
Danone says it based its advice on WHO guidance, and claims that both the WHO and the UN agency Unicef endorsed the campaign. But the WHO has demanded that Danone stop using its name and logo while Unicef has denied endorsing the company’s actions.
“Danone’s campaign is misleading,” said Dr Colin Michie, chairman of the British Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health’s nutrition committee. “There is not enough evidence to support its approach.” He added: “Mothers who follow Danone’s advice could end up moving their babies on to formula milk unnecessarily.”
Danone insisted that the campaign was aimed at discouraging “inappropriate” substitutions for milk such as rice flour, rather than “competing with breast milk”.
“Turkish Unicef and the WHO, together with other partners (the Ministry of Health, TV stations, supermarkets, Paediatric Association) supported this campaign, with the WHO allowing its logo to be used on printed materials,” it told the Bureau. The campaign had increased mothers’ estimation of the amount of breast milk fed to their babies by 63 per cent, it added.
Danone – best known in the UK for Actimel and Activia and Cow & Gate formula milk – began its Turkish marketing campaign in 2010.
The company identified the infant nutrition market in Turkey – with a population of 73 million, a relatively high birth rate and salaries on the rise – as one with major potential. But traditionally Turkey had high rates of breastfeeding – and no tradition of using formula milk.
In 2009 Numil, Danone’s baby nutrition arm in Turkey, enlisted 577 paediatricians to measure the breast-milk production of mothers of children aged six months. The doctors used breast pumps  or weighed the babies before and after feeding to get their results.
They found the mothers were producing an average of 290ml per day, although the findings have not been peer reviewed. The company then attempted to calculate a figure for the amount of breast milk a mother should be providing their child.
Numil took a WHO bulletin, which referred to an independent research paper on the energy children need to get from complementary food after six months of age. The paper was not designed to prove how much breast milk a child needs, and the resulting figure is not recognised as a recommendation for a breastfeeding child by international authorities.
Danone then launched a marketing campaign to promote the 500ml figure – which it inaccurately claimed was a WHO recommendation – with the slogan, “Half a litre every day”.
The message was promoted on TV, online and in supermarkets. One television ad stated: “Your baby needs at least 500ml milk per day. If your breast milk is not enough, give Aptamil formula to support your baby’s immune system.”
Supplementing with formula can reduce breast-milk flow. Unicef says there are several ways mothers can increase their breast-milk supply, such as expressing milk between feeds.
At the same time, Danone publicised an online test it had developed so mothers could check if they were providing 500ml. The test asks mothers questions about the frequency and duration of breastfeeding. Thousands of women have filled it in – and according to Danone, most have so far been given the result that they are not providing 500ml. The advice to those who are deemed to be providing less than 500ml is to use formula.
But experts have questioned both the 500ml figure and recommending it to parents. Dr Helen Crawley, director of First Steps Nutrition Trust, said estimates of how much milk meets infant requirements are needed in case a child has to be fed with expressed breast milk or formula.
“This is not the same as making a recommendation to mothers about volumes of breast milk,” she said. “The relatively high exclusive breastfeeding rates in Turkey may be undermined by any campaign which suggests a volume that may sound unachievable.”
Dr Gonca Yilmaz, director of one of the biggest paediatric units in Turkey, also condemned the campaign. “The health benefits of breast milk are enormous and mothers must not be pressured into buying formula based on inaccurate advice,” she said.

Secret "Public" Notice Denies Accountability!

I DO NOT CONSENT!
I DO NOT CONSENT to perfluorocarbons being tested in and above the NYC Subway System in July 2013 for the following reasons:

"We’ve known for years that the chemicals called perfluorocarbons (PFCs) can cause thyroid disorders, infertility, pregnancy disorders, low birth weight and at high levels, liver damage and birth defects. They are suspected to play a role in the ever-increasing rate of reproductive abnormalities occurring across the food chain, from frogs to humans. The European Union is phasing out these types of chemicals, but as usual, the U.S. lags behind."
